The report notes that “average trading volume for memecoins has increased by over five times in 2024 compared to the previous year.”

A standout in the realm of AI memecoins is Goatseus Maximus, abbreviated as GOAT, which recently made headlines by reaching a market valuation of $300 million. The token’s rapid ascent coincided with speculation linking it to renowned venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, who promptly clarified his non-involvement. “I have nothing to do with the GOAT memecoin,” he stated on X, emphasizing that he played no role in its creation or ownership. Despite this clarification, GOAT has maintained its momentum, trading at 43 cents, an increase of 16% within a single day. The token has attracted attention from influential figures, such as BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes, who expressed his eagerness to invest upon learning about the AI’s connection to the memecoin.
